Is waking up early beneficial to your health?

I consider myself a night person. But, i do have moments when waking up early is not bothersome anymore.

Before, if I had to go to work or school, it would be difficult for my brain to fully process what is happening. I would be stressed out and wanted to go back to sleep.

Nowadays, I feel some mental clarity and new energy.

The shift could be highly attributed with the change of time and the habits built from my previous years of waking early. I would set up the alarm and awake an hour or two before without going back to sleep.

Getting an adequate amount of sleep plays a crucial role. A restful night’s sleep allows your body to recharge and repair itself, leading to waking up feeling refreshed and energized.

The subconscious can also play a role. You automatically conclude in your mind that you have to wake up early because you have to. Therefore, you set up a time to get a proper rest until the time comes.

Realistically, it does not go smoothly when you have to get up early for something that is stressful and end up dreading not sleeping more.

It does get better overtime and just adapt to what is in store for the day. I recommend waking up earlier than planned and get ready. Then, find something you enjoy to do before attending the stressful situation. It probably will improve the mood.
